I have a case of insomnia.
I know that I’ve had some form of it for a while but not this awful. I’ve been up for almost three days straight and no matter what ‘help you sleep’ remedy I take it doesn’t work. I want to sleep ever so badly but it’s impossible when my body just doesn’t want to. I’ve been meaning to check in with a Doctor but I just can’t bring myself to. Insomnia—from what I have heard—is a horrible thing and it’s something that is rarely beaten without the use of heavy, chemically-based drugs.
And that’s something I just don’t like. I’ve always been a natural-type of person and I’ve never actually put a drug in my body that isn’t organically based. And to me, I think it’s going to be a big problem if I do go and ask about treatment.
Is there anyone here on Tumblr (I assume there is) who does have Insomnia, and can help me out with questions before I go to my doctor? Is there any way at all to treat it naturally/organically without the use of prescription drugs? What works best for you?
